First Nations people are calling for action against racism in this country!! After the disgusting display of Nazis and the racism directed at our community. On top of this, we’ve seen Councillor Deborah Novak spew racism, Councillor Cristie Yager support march against immigration, the Mayor and the GM of Council and other councillors show their support for racism through their non actions and words. These views do not represent our wider community.
On Saturday 13th at 3pm, between the two bridges, we will march together to stand against racism and celebrate every culture in our country. We invite groups to share their culture—through dance, song, poetry or story—and we encourage everyone to proudly wear or fly the flag that represents you and your people.
Let’s show a sea of flags, a sea of unity, and a march of love. Everyone is welcome.
