Rally demands Vic Labor save public housing towers

Almost 1000 people mobilised on August 2 to oppose Victorian Labor’s destruction and privatisation of 44 public housing towers. The protest was called by .

Public housing tenants, activists and elected representatives from the Greens and Socialist Alliance addressed the protest, saying this is the biggest sell-off of public assets ever attempted by a government. They all called on Labor to stop handing over public housing estates to private developers and to instead expand public housing.
